Privacy Policy

The short version: Pidgy is a local-first Mac app. It reads only the accounts you connect, keeps normalized copies on your Mac, and uses that data only to provide features you request. Pidgy does not sell your data or use Google Workspace data to train generalized AI models.

What Pidgy accesses

When you connect a source such as Gmail, Slack, or Telegram, Pidgy accesses the messages and account information needed to show your reply queue, extract tasks, search your history, and provide source-aware summaries. Gmail access is read-only: Pidgy cannot send, delete, archive, label, or otherwise change your Gmail.

How your data is used

Pidgy uses connected-source data only to provide visible, user-facing features inside the app. This includes local indexing, relevance filtering, task and reply detection, summaries, and opening the original source when you choose to act.

Storage and AI processing

Connected-source data and derived records are stored locally on your Mac. If you explicitly enable an external or managed AI provider, the minimum relevant content may be sent to that provider to perform the feature you requested. Pidgy does not use connected-source data for advertising or to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

Google API data

Pidgy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide or improve prominent user-facing Pidgy features, and is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI models.

Sharing and service providers

Pidgy does not sell personal data. Data is shared only when needed to operate a feature you selected, comply with law, protect users and the service, or complete a transaction you requested. Service providers are permitted to process data only for those purposes.

Retention and deletion

You can disconnect an account from Pidgy at any time. Local Pidgy data can be removed from the app or by deleting its local application data. Revoking Pidgy in your Google Account stops future Gmail access. You may contact us to request deletion of server-side account or managed-service data, if any.

Security

Pidgy uses OAuth for supported account connections and does not ask for your Gmail password. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access, use narrow permissions, and design the app to keep primary message storage on your device.

Your choices

You decide which sources to connect and which optional AI service to enable. You can revoke source access from the source provider, disconnect inside Pidgy, or stop using the app at any time.
